Plants growing slowly

It's been a while since I last posted, so I'll bring you up to speed. My plants have been growing slowly but steadily. I now have four sprouts; the fourth in the top right popped up about a weak after the others. It's not very tall, but the three on the left are growing some extra leaves! they each have four now :) Hopefully I can see a few more centimeters of growth before the plant show! I'm still watering them a few ounces daily with a spritz bottle and they spend the day exposed to sunlight via 6 windows.

March 20

There has still not been much of a change in growth. I have been continuing to put the plants outside during the day, bring them in at night, and add a cup of water to the pot daily.

March 20

The plants have gotten really big.

March 6

My plants have grown slightly, but not enough to see too much of a change. I have been maintaining the regular conditions.
I used the 4 way analyzer today. It said that my pH was 7, so I am going to say that is good.
:)

March 6

Many new leaves, and they are getting larger.

Grow Seeds Grow :)

My seeds are around an inch high now. I have been maintaining the normal conditions. I've been watering them lightly every day, and I place the seeds outside when it is warm, and I bring them in at night.

Plants Sprouted

Three of my original 6 tomato seeds sprouted on Wednesday, February 23rd. Each has two leaves, and 2 are 3 cm tall while the third is only 2 centimeters tall. I am watering them lightly each day with a spritz bottle to avoid over-watering. I will watch for continued growth.

YAY SPROUTS!

After almost two weeks, my seeds finally sprouted. All seven of my seeds sprouted around the same time, and they are all about 2 cm high. I have been putting the plants outside in the sunlight during the day, and bringing them in at night time. I usually water them at night. So far, so good!

Day 3/4

For the past 2 days, i continued to give water to the soil and have started to place the pot under artificial light for around 7 hrs.

Jennifer's Soil Test

I did my soil test on Friday morning, and these are my results:
pH Test- 6
Phosphorus- high (+100 lbs/acre)
Potassium- (I used 10 drops before it changed color) = high (=200 lbs/acre)
Nitrogen- Trace (low) = (30 lbs/acre)

.. I still do not have any growth in my plants. They have stayed outside during the day over this past weeked, and I added a cup of water to the soil today.

Adrianna's Plant's First Step!

My plant has finally made its first step, i thought would never happen. It's been sitting by the window everyday since i first planted it. There has been beautiful weather outside that past few days, ranging from 60-70 degrees. I put it outside in my backyard and sprinkled some water.

I put my pot outside today, because it was a really nice day. I do not have any sprouts yet, but I added a cup of water to the pot.

YAY! SEED :)

I planted my seeds today. I found an old pot filled with soil in the basement. I moistened the soil with some water, and I pressed 1 inch holes into the soil. Then, I put the seven seeds into the holes. The pot is sitting on on a plate on my kitchen table. It is around 69 degrees in my house.

Day 7

First sprout! Hard to see today. I added an incandescent light bulb to help keep the temperature up. The white thing is a thermometer. Am continuing to keep it moist.

Day 2

Same conditions as when planted, added half a cup of water. at 6:51

Sunday, February 13, 2011

Day 1

Today, I bought some potting soil, which I will provide all the details about the product, and I deposited the seeds 1/4 of an inch deep at time 9:30PM. Then I got a cup(drinking cup) and used the cup for water and poured it in, making the soil very moist. After carefully supplying the water, I placed the pot on the side of my window where it can absorb some sunlight and will use artificial sunlight during nighttime hours.

Seeds Planted

Planted my seeds at around 4Pm on Saturday, February 12th. The seeds were placed about 1/4 of an inch deep in commercial fertilizer contained in six individual clay pots. I watered the soil with several ounces of water on both Saturday and Sunday. Here is a picture of the pots taken on Sunday, February 13th.

Will's First Day

Planted seeds in potting soil, 1/8 inch deep in egg carton. Attempting to have 16 hours of light per day and 70 degrees temperature. Keeping soil moist. I covered it in plastic wrap to keep it moist. This is the setup.

Anticipating Planting Day

We met on Tuesday, February 8th to distribute the seeds. I have six tomato seeds currently sitting in a plastic zip top bag on my desk. I am in the process of acquiring adequate soil and pots for my plants so that i may plant the seeds as soon as possible. I hope to do that at some point this weekend.

Pre-Birth of the Seeds

My seeds are still sitting in their little zip-lock baggie in a basket in my kitchen. I plan on planting the seeds this weekend. I already found a pot in my basement to put them in, but I still need to decide what kind of soil I want to use.

Receiving a 1 1/2 pound tomato

Two days ago on the 7th of February, I received my tomato seeds. Upon receiving them, I placed them in a room temperature location and have yet to plant them in soil.

1st Day Planted By Adrianna

I just planted my hybrid tomato seeds at 7:40, I don't know if timing could affect this situation. The soil I put it in was from Home Depot and already had fertilizer. The soil was already moist before I planted the seeds. The temperture in my house is about 70 degrees and I am placing the plant by my kitchen window where the sun starts to hit before 8am.
